ADOLAY KORNELIOS OSMAN AND HIS FALSE ACCUSATIONS Part I
On August 20.2010 Adolay Kornelios Osman the DMLEK chairman was interviewed by Amanuel, a journalist from Assenna Radio, and we hope most Eritrean heard it. Amanuel was brave enough and well prepared to approach this criminal and narrow minded Kunama and asked most important questions among which was his detention and killing of Kunama members. Amanuel was not only an Eritrea but also many professionals including human rights group and ordinary people who have been confronting him with questions about his evil acts among the refugees and inside DMLEK in Ethiopia. We are so sure that a lot of smart people were raising their eyebrows at his interview.
On the interview Kornelios was pretending to be truthful but actually he distorted the whole interview and even went to the extent of disdaining the activities of the other opposition groups. He shamelessly admitted that he killed some Kunama members by repeating his false accusations to make them sound true. He said he took human lives deliberately because he could not keep feeding them in prison. If Kornelios is a normal human being he would regret for saying this. We believe that he is the first human being in the history of man kind to give such a reason for killing people. Yet, his acts are appreciated and as a prize he is covered with a Democratic ”Kidan” or blanket expecting him to be our next Eritrean leader. Is not this the Hashewye the big dictator called? Though we know that some non-Kunama Eritreans were very angry with the interview, we Kunama expected some kind of reaction from them. But that is fine. We are very thankful for Amanuel for his great deeds, and we also wish him progress in his life and career.
In todays world it is very unthinkable to deceive people specially by remodelling the histories of 17th century. But, we Kunama, have something to tell Kornelios,”if he, Kornelios has a foreign land to go, let him go like the hyena and tell the people to make him a bed of hide(skin)”.
He can not fool any Eritrean mainly from Shimelba refugee camp let alone the Kunama people. DMLEK leader Kornelios who teaches cruelty can not represent our innocent Kunama people who is waiting impatiently for the time to come to put him on trial. He has no a single evidence of his allegations. He accused many innocent fighter as jihadists , Jebha, Shabia, Woinakka(weeds or Menka’) etc, all because of his personal problems. Ironically most of the accused were the brave Kunama nationalists who all the enemies of the Kunama feared most. It was a blessed day for the PFDJ leaders when they heard on the radio of DMLEK that they arrested the prominent figures among the Kunama, surveyor Husein Yousuf, Yakob Ashora, their ralatives and friends accused of an attempt to overthrow Kornelios from power. The PFDJ leaders praised Kornelios for spoon feeding them with milk and butter by killing the very strong people who were founders of the Kunama movement, and on the other hand they mocked at him for his being a foolish politician committing such crimes in two years of his age in DMLEK declaring the death of the blooming flower of the Kunama future.
Kornelios who has zero experience in the Kunama life and politics scared these heroes to death like PFDJ leaders. They were the people who knew Kornelios’ weak and strong sides helping him in his miserable life since childhood. It was insanity for Kornelios to kill such people with no reason. Infact, most of his acts demonstrate that he is the typical agent of PFDJ being sent to destroy the Kunama. Some of the victims also knew his close ties with PFDJ before he joined DMLEK. Except Kornelios who spent his whole life in Addis Ababa known by very few people, all the Kunama in Eritrea knew each other who was who and some had their own underground political movements inside Eritrea. If these individuals were really sent by PFDJ to destroy DMLEK, then it would be the end of the world. They were all his self created enemies, because of his power greed, economic and other personal problems. We want again every Eritrean to be very careful about Kornelios, because he can be a consummated liar to the weak people. We urge every Eritrean to tell this reality to all and try to stop from happening now and then in our battle fields. All the answers he gave in the interview about DMLEK and the Kunama refugees were all false just like that of dictator Isayas when he was interviewed by Aljezira. We will be telling the truth not politics so that every one will understand this person with his unique and dangerous personality and his devilish acts for the first time in the history of the Kunamna people. We also want the other ethnic based political organizations to stay away from this guy. We know what has been happening to the Kunama more than any one else. Kornelios has destroyed this society social, politically and economically. This was why the Kunama people who does not like moving an inch away from his village gave- up on DMLEK and chose the second exodus crying bitter. We have been requesting the fellow Eritreans specially EDA member organizations at least to warn Kornelios to stop his terrorist acts in Shimelba refugee camp. EDA did nothing but continued playing the “Hashewye” and technically facilitated the process for DMLEK to fall.
For his false accusations there are hundreds of witnesses including his former executive and central committee members who deserted DMLEK staying either in Ethiopia or in Diaspora. According to his relatives and village men/women, Kornelios had an inborn chronic mental problem. He lost his mother when he was a few months old and was exposed to spend unstable childhood developing a lot of complexities. By nature he is a pessimist, sadist, jealous, liar, cunning, unconfident, selfish, and virtually he has all kinds of bad behaviours a human being can posses ,most of which are probably due to the up-bringing .He may outwardly seem brave but he is coward, psychopathic, irresponsible and merciless. On the top of these he lacks the charisma of leading his own family let alone a political organization. In his life he has had very few friends with whom he can only gossip and lie about others, and because of this he is now nicknamed “Kakalo” the gossiper. He is the best dictionary for gossiping from which any one can understand the danger of gossip in human interaction. His way of gossiping and its danger was seriously taken and was told to correct himself in a meeting in September, 2000. Amazingly, Kornelios has no any good behavioural quality one can tell others about him. He gets along with very few people most of whom were very tolerant of his wickedness and he now considers them all his enemy number ones. Those who knew his shrewdness very well including his family members were nodding their heads sideways when they heard Kornelios joined DMLEK as a leader. He was not completely fit to this position, and this was why he was frustrated what to do with it, losing self control, acting crazy and finally becoming increasingly paranoid. We are telling the truth.
Kornelios was from one of the Eritreans to be deported to Eritrea from Ethiopia when the boarder war started, but some Ethiopian leaders by share luck saved this criminal and encouraged him to join DMLEK. After he accepted and made the oath; unlike the other brave fighters he was hired with a monthly salary of 900 Birr living until present time in the rich neighbourhood of Bole sending his children to private school. He also controls the budget of DMLEK using it for bribing his close associates and spies who are there to protect him .Though no one was concerned about this at first, he was not comfortable when he compared himself with the other fighters who did not get a cent and still worked more than he did. This was another complexity hatched in the mind of Kornelios that forced him to accuse individuals to either kill or expel them from the fight changing DMLEK to his personal asset. He was not a patriot and did not even have a clue about the Kunama fate. He was the first person to oppose for the call of the Kunama movement that started in April,1995 and never contributed any thing but wished them bad until the flood of the boarder war between Ethiopia and Eritrea brought him. Kornelios rejected the call to fight for Kunama freedom by writing a letter to the then leader of the movement Mr Alexander Matug Addalla. after which Alexander told the fighters to avoid Kornelios in case if he decided to join. Otherwise he said,” it would be then that the Kunama destruction would follow when Kornelios elects himself as a Kunama leader and goes to and from Addis by plane with his case full of money bragging about his leadership.” Alexander's prophecy came to be true and his former fighters are now suffering as the living witnesses. Kornelios joined DMLEK forced by some of the Ethiopian leaders in exchange for his privilege to stay in Ethiopia.
It was out of Kornelios’ imagination to get attention by the Ethiopian leaders because previously he was fired from his job and after the war started he was ready to be deported to Eritrea. The idea of the Ethiopian leaders was not bad except that they chose the wrong person who started killing his friends and family members just to win the trust of the Ethiopian leaders on his way of trying to condemn his past relation with PFDJ. Any Kunama who joins DMLEK has to accept all what Kornelios says, if not has to face the consequence. He can not tolerate any kind of critics or comments. He thinks he is the most trusted Kunama and any Kunama must obey him and come through him. Except him no one has the authority over the people of the Kunama mainly refugees in Ethiopia. He is completely intolerant to see any educated, wealthy, healthy or smart Kunama around him or even outside. In case if he/she joins DMLEK has to be eliminated directly or systematically by any means. His cadres have the right to stay among the refugees with their guns where they can throw bombs, terrorize the refugees, organize plots, kidnap innocent people, set fire in their houses and take back the deserted fighters. Any camp leader who does not obey DMLEK even if he is an Ethiopian has to leave its office. Any kind of movement even that benefits the Kunama community is forbidden or a punishable crime unless you support DMLEK .No Kunama can get a job in the refugee camp even if he/she is qualified unless he/she supports DMLEK and participates in its meetings. Any Kunama has to get approval from Kornelios to enter Ethiopia from Eritrea or Sudan.
