The Kunama Civic Society (KCS), Kunama Narkaba Tummada (KNT) is officially formed, its representatives and committee-members chosen and its activities launched: October 14, 2005

After a long consultation period with the fellow-Kunama, living in the four corners of our globe, the Kunama Civic Society (KCS) and its equivalent in the Kunama language, Kunama Narkaba Tummada (KNT), has officially been established and its representatives and committee members elected and their duties assigned.
The KCS/KNT is an autonomous and non-profit organisation, involved in advancing and establishing the Kunama people’s ethnic, cultural and territorial rights.
Though it recognises and accepts the Democratic Movement for the Liberation of the Eritrean Kunama (DMLEK), as a Kunama movement, the KCS/KNT however differs from it, in its struggle, conducted solely through dialogue and other peaceful means, with all the national and international organisations, involved in restoring the ethnic, the cultural and the territorial rights of all of the Eritrean different nationalities, thus bringing about, peace and stability in Eritrea and within its diverse society.
