The Kunama Civic Society (KCS), Kunama Narkaba Tummada (KNT) is officially formed, its representatives and committee-members chosen and its activities launched: October 14, 2005
After a long consultation period with the fellow-Kunama, living in the four corners of our globe, the Kunama Civic Society (KCS) and its equivalent in the Kunama language, Kunama Narkaba Tummada (KNT), has officially been established and its representatives and committee members elected and their duties assigned.
The KCS/KNT is an autonomous and non-profit organisation, involved in advancing and establishing the Kunama people’s ethnic, cultural and territorial rights.
Though it recognises and accepts the Democratic Movement for the Liberation of the Eritrean Kunama (DMLEK), as a Kunama movement, the KCS/KNT however differs from it, in its struggle, conducted solely through dialogue and other peaceful means, with all the national and international organisations, involved in restoring the ethnic, the cultural and the territorial rights of all of the Eritrean different nationalities, thus bringing about, peace and stability in Eritrea and within its diverse society.
The following is the list of the names of and the posts assigned to the fellow-Kunama:

The above listed fellow-Kunama are the official persons to contact and interact with, concerning the Kunama people and on their ethnic, cultural and territorial matters.
The principles which are to guide the KCS/KNT and its activities are the same ones incorporated in the “Political, Cultural and Economic Programs” of the Democratic Movement for the Liberation of the Eritrean Kunama (DMLEK).
